Alright. I have one for you.

I have recently joined and deposited at a new online casino, called Wagibet. It looks good, and had lots of providers and all that good stuff - and I finished the verification process, and lo and behold - I won some money! In total, I won almost $600 CAD, and due to not having taken any bonuses, I cashed out. Well, the strangest thing happened. I was denied the withdrawal - and then told in a short message on the messaging system within the casino that I was ONLY eligible to withdraw $100 CAD at the moment - that that is what my account is approved for. THIS IS COMPLETELY CRAZY. YES? NO? For the record, I did go and read the terms and conditions, and nowhere did I see anything of this nature in the "WITHDRAWALS" area - there is a cap on daily withdrawals (I believe it is $3000 USD) and this makes this even more strange - my little win of $581.72 is nothing compared to the $3000 USD, yet, I am limited to withdrawing only $100/day. Does this seem right?

Hi. No, I don’t think that sounds particularly normal. If the casino has restricted you to 100, I’d also want to know what exactly that decision was based on, because that seems like a very low limit.

I think this could be something worth having our complaint team look at. I’m not sure what the eventual outcome would be, but at the very least it could help clarify why the casino introduced such a restriction and whether there is any basis for it.

If the casino hasn’t explained the restriction to you and you also can’t find anything about it in their Terms and Conditions, then I can understand why you wouldn’t be happy with the situation.

Well, the good news is: I did get to withdraw 100 dollars - per day - at a time. Haha. So, it took a few days, but I did get my funds. I asked the "bot" agent why I was limited, and they have a typical "boilerplate" answer that they give every time anyone asks a question with the words "withdrawal" in it - so - I did not get a reason but I am going to guess that they perhaps had not completed my KYC? Who knows. They DID however release my money. Which is GOOD! And yes, I cannot to this day find anytihng in the terms and conditions on that casino. strange one indeed 🙂

That's good news at least, the most important thing is that you eventually received the full amount. 🙂

I wouldn't necessarily assume the $100 limit was related to KYC, especially since you mentioned before that you had already completed the verification process. It may simply have been some account-specific or internal withdrawal restriction, but without a proper explanation from the casino we can only speculate.

What I still find strange is that they couldn't point you to a specific rule explaining the $100 daily limit. Our information for Wagibet also shows considerably higher standard withdrawal limits, so if this happens again, I would definitely ask them to show you exactly where that individual restriction comes from.
