Hi, for me, customer support and withdrawal options are important. I’m not sure how I’d test a site without making a deposit, but I might check the license; you can usually contact customer support even without a deposit, and I’d probably see if the casino has any games I like.

I tend to start with the boring bits, honestly. Withdrawal rules, KYC, max bet terms, who the licence is with, and whether support answers like a person or a script.

Bonuses are useful information, but they’re also the part designed to look attractive. The less glamorous stuff usually tells you more about how the site behaves once a player actually wants money back.

I usually look at reviews, how withdrawals actually go, and how good customer support is. If those three check out, I’ll try it with a small deposit first to see how everything works in practice before putting in more.

I look for customer reviews on public platforms like Trustpilot. You will always get people slagging off casinos on these platforms, but you can usually see if there are any consistent negative (and positive) aspects to a casino that get mentioned repeatedly. Longevity in the game is also something I look at. A casino doesn't survive long if they don't provide a legitimate service. If a casino has been around for a long time and is getting positive reviews from its players, then they are clearly doing a lot of things right. Reliable payouts is another thing that I want as a player. The last thing I need is to be worrying about whether a payment will hit my account every time I cash out. And then a responsive support team is also something that I think is the bear minimum any trustworthy online casino should have.
