What country to VPN into?

So if you're unlucky enough to be in a country that doesn't allow online gambling, which country do you VPN into?

Eg, which country has the most relaxed approach to online gambling and most game providers/casinos allow access to?

Preferably English speaking countries because it's a bit of a pest having all the sites in a different language...

Hi, you should always check first if the casino allows the use of a VPN. I think they should have similar things written in the Terms and Conditions or you could ask live chat and of course always take screenshots if there are any problems. 

But as for the actual gambling, you can't play at all ?

Yeah I've had casinos that previously have said no to VPN's flip their policy once they were blocked by the government.

The question is whether it is right or not, because circumventing the regulations is not the best way. Personally, I think it can only lead to problems in the future. So I would be cautious. 

Anyway, I hope that some local players will come to you and advise you. 

Well our government has decided not to allow us to have regulated casinos, not out of concern for it's citizens but rather due to vested financial interests (eg: bribes) from the entrenched land based gaming lobbies.

They can't in one hand suggest they're protecting us from online gambling while having the largest land based gambling industry in the world.

So yeah, I don't have any moral concern whether using a VPN is 'right'

That's an interesting reading about the gambling situation in Australia. Do I understand it correctly that you can't play on any gambling site online according to your local law?

It is legal for citizens to play, but not legal for any casino to offer the service unless they have a license from the government, of which they have given out none.

So this results in any law abiding company not offering their service to us, so we have to play at the dodgy joints.

You should always check if it's possible to use a VPN, so that you don't run into problems if you manage to win and go for a withdrawal. Did you ask the casino if it is possible to use it with these providers ? 

Hm, so it is quite a complicated case and quite strict. I hope no problems will arise in the future and everything will be fine on your side as far as VPN usage is concerned. 

Or the other option is that they get a license from the government so that you don't have to use it. I think that's probably the harder case.

Of course, you should always check the terms and conditions to make sure it's the truth. So that's my recommendation not only when using a VPN but for anything that could cause problems.
