Is this with the first stage investigator or the actual Ombudsman? If investigator please escalate - use ChatGPT to help if needed. I've had to do this with mine 🙁

Mine was rejected by the investigator yesterday so now escalated to the Ombudsman 🙁 nearly 16k of transactions and they said bank doesn't need to monitor accounts and not their fault cause of the disguised MCC.

Google this and have a read. My case with monzo is the exact same so I cant see why my case cant be successful too.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that with ombudsman, it’s not done on a precedent basis so it’s literally luck of the draw whether the final decision goes in your favour. I’ve read a lot about basically "negotiated settlements" being met where the bank essentially has to refund the money rather than raise the chargeback, but it can be anywhere from 10% all the way up to 100%, with 10-30 being most common. Mine is at final stage ombudsman but could take months yet (already on month 3) but even a settlement agreement would screw me as it’s £38,000 I’m complaining about.

Depends how much evidence you submit and what arguement you put forward i guess.

My evidence was very strong and the investigator didn’t want to know, completely ignored all legal aspects and evidence the casino in question hosts fake games as well (independently reviewed) - his view was that the casino "seems legit based on my research" which was literally just a couple of poor google searches.
