A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Hi. Yes, I had the same descriptor on my bank statement. My bank advised me that it was linked to Xpate, which is why I contacted Xpate regarding those transactions.

Hi. In my experience, Xpate always takes a long time to respond. I would also recommend submitting a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman if you haven't already. In my opinion, they should properly investigate these transactions and, where appropriate, issue refunds instead of simply delaying the process.

Hi. That's exactly why I wouldn't rely on Xpate alone. The chargeback gives you a much better chance of recovering your money. Hopefully you'll get a positive outcome.

Hi. That's good to hear. Hopefully your bank will reach a positive decision. Please keep us updated, as many people here are waiting to see how chargebacks against Xpate are being handled.

Thanks. I hope the result is positive. I'll keep everyone updated because I know many people here are in a similar situation with Xpate.

Hi. Any updates on your case? Did Xpate refund your money, or are you still waiting?

Hi. Not yet. Xpate still hasn't responded. I've also filed a complaint against them, and my bank has raised chargebacks on the basis that the transactions were not as described. I'm waiting for the outcome now.

Hi. I'm still waiting for a refund from Xpate. The merchant has completely stopped responding, so there's been no progress on that side. However, I still believe Xpate will eventually have to return the money once everything has been reviewed.

Hi. Based on my own experience, Walleto handled my payments in a very similar way to Xpate. Communication was slow, and I didn't get any meaningful help from them. That's why I decided not to wait any longer and filed chargebacks through my bank.

If you're still within the chargeback time limits, I wouldn't delay. You can always withdraw the claim later if the issue is resolved, but once the deadlines pass, recovering the funds becomes much more difficult.

Hi. I think that was a good point to include. If your bank offers a gambling block, it's reasonable to expect that gambling-related payments won't be processed. Hopefully they'll take that into account when reviewing your case.
