A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Do you still have their sort code and account number on your transfers on bank? Mine save automatically.

i searched the sort code online to banking circle and they told me Passpoint was ivy pay. When I asked banking circle for dsar I had a few with Kryptonim also through ivy pay. Only a couple so I never bothered emailing for them but received all other refunds

oh brilliant. I’ve already filled the forms in for like 30 transactions but i have another like 40 with a much larger sum elsewhere. Good to know Passpoint and kryptonim are both IVYPAY though. Do you think i should consolidate the claim on multiple cards into one dispute with them? or keep them separate? Really appreciate the help. No rush btw they have all day today to reply but for some reason i’m doubting they will

I’ve noticed this too, and, to be honest, I think the merchant’s name might be making things unnecessarily complicated. When a gambling-related transaction appears on a bank statement under the name of a completely unrelated company, it’s far from obvious what the payment was actually for. I’m not sure if every instance means that the casino is deliberately trying to circumvent restrictions, as payment processors may be involved, but I believe there should be greater transparency. At the very least, the player should be able to clearly identify exactly who processed the payment and what type of transaction it was.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding bank transfers taken from my account in connection with Instaspin.com, which were processed via PASSPOINT Sp. z o.o., reportedly banking with Banking Circle.

Following extensive research into the entity that received my funds, I have identified significant regulatory and compliance concerns that call into question the legitimacy of these transactions.

PASSPOINT Sp. z o.o. is registered in Poland under PKD classification 64.99.Z ("other financial service activities"). However, this classification is extremely broad and does not constitute a licence to provide regulated payment services. It merely describes the type of activity the company declares.

In Poland, any entity operating as a payment service provider (PSP) must be authorised or registered with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), typically as a:

National Payment Institution (KIP), or

Small Payment Institution (MIP)

If a company is not listed within KNF registers, it is not authorised to provide regulated payment services. Based on available information, there is no clear evidence that PASSPOINT Sp. z o.o. holds such authorisation.

Furthermore, the situation is significantly more serious given that these payments are linked to gambling activity. Poland enforces strict gambling regulations under the Polish Gambling Act, and payment providers are expected to:

Block transactions related to unlicensed gambling operators

Not facilitate offshore or unregulated gambling services

The operator in question appears to be licensed in Anjouan (Comoros), a jurisdiction which is not recognised within the UK or EU regulatory frameworks. As such, a properly regulated Polish PSP should not be facilitating these transactions.

Based on these findings, the following serious red flags arise:

No confirmed KNF authorisation as a payment institution

Lack of transparency regarding PASSPOINT’s role in processing these payments

Acting as an intermediary between myself and the gambling operator

Potential misclassification of transactions, including the use of incorrect Merchant Category Codes (MCCs), which may have disguised the true nature of the payments

These issues raise substantial concerns regarding regulatory breaches, consumer protection violations, and potential circumvention of financial safeguards.

Given the above, I formally demand:

A full and immediate refund of all payments processed via PASSPOINT Sp. z o.o. in relation to Instaspin.com

Full disclosure of the legal and regulatory basis under which these transactions were processed

Confirmation of PASSPOINT’s regulatory status and authority to act as a payment intermediary in this context

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no hesitation in escalating complaints to the appropriate regulatory and enforcement authorities, including:

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF)

Relevant UK financial and consumer protection bodies

Authorities overseeing the Anjouan licensing framework

I expect an urgent response confirming that my funds will be returned without delay.

Yours faithfully,
