Radka, I have found some information that is very much worth its weight. Did you folks know that it is NOT illegal for us Ontario residents to play at any online casinos? Please read this breakdown from the AGCO:
Ontario's gambling laws are primarily governed by the Gaming Control Act, 1992 and the Criminal Code of Canada. While Ontario strongly encourages residents to gamble only on regulated iGaming Ontario (iGO) casinos, there is no explicit law that outright criminalizes playing on offshore or non-iGaming casinos.
However, there are important legal considerations:
Operators must be licensed (this applies ONLY to iGAMING REGISTERED CASINOSS): Any gambling site operating within Ontario must be registered with AGCO.
Consumer protections: Non-iGaming casinos do not fall under AGCO’s jurisdiction, meaning Ontario players lack legal recourse if disputes arise.
Financial restrictions: Some banks may block transactions to offshore gambling sites.
While playing on offshore casinos is not illegal, Ontario does not regulate or protect players who choose to do so.
BASICALLY IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS: Ontario players are not protected should we become a victim of a "bad casino". THAT is ALL ! Oh, and the whole "no bonuses" thing? THAT legality ONLY applies to casinos that are REGISTERED WITH IGAMING. the REST of the world can advertise to us, and we CAN play bonuses, and we can play at off-shore sites or Euro sites or whatever sites... there is NO law that says we cannot. I have wondered for some time how this PROVINCE can have such rules, it seems ludicrous. Turns out, they can only implement the rules on casinos that CHOOSE to become iGAMING. The others are not within their jurisdiction.
