Years ago I mainly associated Sazka with lotteries, Sportka, Eurojackpot and sports betting. The casino existed, but compared with international casinos the selection felt much more limited and quite heavily focused on the traditional Czech providers. That's changed a lot.
These days Sazka Hry feels like a proper modern online casino. There are now hundreds of slots from a very wide range of providers, including many international names such as Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Wazdan, Endorphina, Thunderkick and others, alongside the Czech providers that have always been part of the market. For me this is probably the biggest improvement. I can now find many of the same games I would normally look for at foreign casinos without having to leave a Czech licensed operator.
There is also a live casino now, with games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and Poker, which makes the whole casino much more complete than it used to be. The website and app have improved as well and everything feels much more modern than I remember from a few years ago.
Another thing I like about Sazka/Allwyn is that everything sits under one established Czech brand. Besides casino games you still have the traditional lotteries, scratchcards and other products, and there is sports betting too. I mainly use the casino or sports betting nowadays, but I like having all of this available through the same account.
They also have Bonusomat, which is quite a nice extra. By playing you complete different tasks, and after completing a number of them you can spin for rewards such as free spins or money. There are also different quests and occasional promotions.
What I probably appreciate most is that Sazka Hry has gradually moved away from feeling like a lottery company that also happens to have a few casino games. It now feels like a serious casino in its own right, while still keeping all the traditional Sazka products around it.
There are still a few small things that could be improved. Some particular games are loading quite slow (though others load very fast so it might be the game rather than Sazka) and the choice of withdrawal methods is not as wide as at some international casinos. Though I haven't seen e.g. Neteller or crypto at any local Czech casinos, so it might be a regulation reason. Personally though, the overall direction over the last few years has been very positive.
Overall, I think Sazka Hry has improved massively compared with what it was several years ago. The selection of providers is much broader, there are far more modern slots, live casino is available, and at the same time you still have lotteries, sports betting and all the familiar Czech products in one place. The name may now be Allwyn, which people didn't seem to like as it was an international company purchasing a very long standing Czech brand, but for me the biggest change isn't the name. It is how much better and more complete the actual casino has become while it preserved the majority of it's "Sazka features" including Sazka logos on it's website, so the change to Allwyn wasn't bad as people thought it would be and it brought many more providers to the Czech licensed marker, which weren't here before.
- Large selection of games
- Instant card withdrawals
- Local Czech company that has been operating for decades
- About 1000 slots, Live casino, lotteris and Sports betting
- Recent change to Allwyn people largely didn't like, but overall experience unchanged, or even improved, in my opinion
- Some particular games load slow
